 keep your ear to the ground and before too long, you'll hear about laelaps and the teumessian fox. it's not a love story, not exactly, but there aren't any other words for it — they're meant for each other, but they can't coexist, either. the hunter who never loses his prey and the uncatchable prize, each other's worst enemies but the closest thing they have to peers. (ask her about him and there's nary a trace of anything but fondness in her voice.) there is nothing in this world victoria has ever been able to outrun, whether it be the Queen's Suits or the Hare himself. always with a new face, a new name and a new identity, victoria ruins and leaks operations without any discernable care, reason or rhyme — snitch is the word, but nobody's tracked her down to be able to spit it in her face, and sometimes it's not law enforcement so much as it is the competition. the only person who knows her real name is leland, and even then: it wouldn't be right to stick around. inspired by the tale of the fox and the hound vaulted up into the stars. an alternate version of the fic/verse i'm not afraid!, in which the good witch is a mob boss, the scarecrow is a lawyer, the lion is a druggie murderer, the tin man is a hitman, and dorothy is dead.
